We are excited to be a part of this years, very real, in person (as well as visual) Cisco Live in Las Vegas June 4-8. If you’re not familiar with the event, Cisco Live delivers education and inspiration to technology innovators worldwide through large-scale events, as well as on-demand education. It is the premier destination for Cisco customers and partners to gain knowledge and to build community.
We’ll not only be exhibiting at the event (visit us at kiosk #4019-B in the Collaboration Village!) we have a great session from our CPO, Dan Nadir, titled “Unlock the full value of Webex and Cisco Email Security” Dan will also be speaking in a session specifically devoted to financial services titled "Compliance and Collaboration: Unlocking the Full Value of Webex for Financial Services Institutions with Theta Lake." Hopefully Dan has a break in between his busy speaking engagements.
This has been a busy year of product updates and integrations for us, including recent enhancements supporting Webex polling and Q&A archiving as well as initial and continuing support for Slido. At Theta Lake, we continue to invest, partner and co-build with Cisco as we have since our start in 2017. Today, we support all modalities- chat, video and audience participation forums across the Webex Suite. Cisco is not only a partner for us, but a strategic investor as Cisco Investments was part of the Theta Lake Series B investment in 2022, as well as our Series A, for which we are very grateful.
Our latest product release includes new support for selectively archiving Webex polls and Q&A. Specifically, when configured for capture, Theta Lake captures the meeting Poll and Q&A as separate records enabling downstream compliance review. Each record includes the meeting participants and metadata that links the different records (poll, Q&A, recording ) of the meeting. Both poll and Q&A can be sent to customer’s existing email archiving investments creating fast time to value. For an in-meeting poll, Theta Lake captures its questions, answer choices, and the respondent and their responses in a combined pdf. For in-meeting Q&A, Theta Lake captures the questions and responses as a chat record and attributes the message to its author, including questions that are deferred, dismissed or answered verbally. All of this is designed to help organizations maximize their investments in Webex while knowing that their regulatory compliance obligations are being met, without creating friction in the form of “ripping and replacing” existing IT investments like email archives.
Webex by Cisco and Slido are key platforms for unified communications and collaboration and our joint customers are constantly seeking to adopt new modes of communication while doing it safely and compliantly. Our continued investment into expanding on our coverage for Webex ecomms now includes supporting all forms of polls and Q&A from Webex (whether native or Slido) is a reflection of that.
